Event: This event is for 150 people ages 21 plus. You will have an opportunity to meet other single people while under the romantic setting of the rich and fascinating marine culture of the Atlantic. While at the party you will have a choice to either Speed Date or Mingle. You will be supplied with 4 contact cards to be presented to those with whom you felt chemistry and would like to see again to make a little personal history. It will be up to you to make contact!

Message from Catherine... Believe it or not, I am still faced with a certain "stigma" regarding this kind of business, on both the SDA© (Speed Dating Atlantic©) side of things, and personally. It is not a difficult nor abstract thing we are doing here. Ultimately, SDA© has the resources and organization to bring people together who are "single" for the purposes of being introduced to new friends, business contacts, and/or romance. Scenario #1: Just moved to HFX from another Province, Territory, or Country.
Scenario #2: All of my friends are married with children and I need to engage with people who still "get it".
Scenario #3: I am back in the market.
Scenario #4: It is taboo to date in the office or with someone who works for me.
Scenario #5: I want to be in a place where I am certain I am talking to someone who is who they say they are and not wearing a wedding ring! Not so abstract is it? Personally, yes, I do take quite a hit. Men I have dated are intimidated by the fact that I run this business. Perhaps that is a risk I did not foresee? What: 150 Single People Cruising the Halifax Harbour on the Lovely Tall Ship Silva
Event: This event is for 150 people ages 21 plus. We will be boarding at 6:30 PM to set sail on a two hour cruise at 7:00 PM. You will have an opportunity to meet other single people while cruising, dancing, and mingling around the best this city has to offer! While at the party you will be supplied with 6 contact cards to be presented to those whom you felt a sea breeze induced chemistry and would like to see again. It will be up to you to make contact!
As this event only holds 150 people we recommend that you register soon! Once you register, http://www.speeddatingatlantic.com/upcoming.php, you will receive notification from SDA© with a ticket number. You will be instructed in this notification as to how to purchase and pick up/mail your ticket/s. Tickets must be paid for, in full, 2 days prior to the event. A cancellation fee is implied 1 week prior to the event.

Where: Little Fish Restaurant & Oyster Bar located at 1740 Argyle Street (below The Five Fishermen)
When: Thursday, March 24th, 2005 7:00 PM
What: Choose any 3 items from an extensive tappas menu, plus oysters.
Event: This event is for 9 men and 9 women. We will be seated in the Oyster Bar where will mingle, eat, and learn how to shuck oysters from the talented host at Little Fish! You will have an opportunity to meet 17 other single people while dinning on one of natures most sensuous offerings. While at the party you will be supplied with a contact card where you will tell us who you felt oyster induced chemistry with and would like to see again. We will collect the cards at the end of the evening and contact you with your match.
As this event only holds 18 people we recommend that you register soon! If you register and must cancel, due to circumstances beyond your control as we know you would much rather be there, please let us know so that we may open your seat.
Raw oysters...18 people who are single and ready to date...at a beautiful location...I simply cannot think of a more enjoyable Thursday night in Halifax!
